At the Christmas Market
📸 I wanted to share a delightful story from our early days in Germany, shortly after our relocation. In December, a charming market called „Weihnachtsmarkt“ was set up near our home. The market, though temporary, offered a fascinating array of small booths with diverse designs, vibrant colors, and enchanting lights. 🌟 It quickly became a favorite spot for my wife and me.
On one particular evening, as we wandered through the market, we decided to take a photo near one of the small booths. 📷 A passerby, noticing our intention, approached us and asked a question. Due to my limited understanding of the German language at the time, I misunderstood and thought she was asking to pass by, replying with a „yes,“ allowing her to go ahead.
To our surprise, the lady didn’t move and continued to stand nearby. After a few moments, we asked her why she was waiting, and to our amusement, she explained that she had offered to take a photo of us. Apparently, there was a slight miscommunication, and she patiently waited for us to hand over our mobile phone.
Once we realized her friendly intent, we all shared a hearty laugh. It turned into a memorable and humorous moment that we fondly recall from our early days in Germany.😄
